WELCOME
The purpose of the Dallas Lawyers Auxiliary
is to support the Dallas legal community by:
- Assisting in promoting the efficient administration of
justice;
- Stimulating interest among the members and others in governmental
and community affairs;
- Promoting sociability among its members;
- Lending support, where the General Board may deem appropriate,
to any educational or civic enterprise, particularly those
which are law-related, deemed to promote welfare to the
community
To fulfill this purpose, the Dallas Lawyers Auxiliary publishes
Now You Are 18, a teaching booklet, describing
some legal rights and responsibilities to high school seniors;
contributes to scholarships for SMU Law School students; presents
the highly esteemed Justinian Award,
given annually to recognize a member of the Dallas
Bar Association who has demonstrated a volunteer commitment
to the community; has raised monies for its Foundation to
contribute to many non-profits like Court Appointed Special Advocates, Dallas Children's
Advocacy Center, Girl's Inc., and Senior Citizens, to name
a few.
