The Dallas Lawyers Auxiliary will be supporting the Community Partners of Dallas for its 2008-2009 fundraiser. The Community Partners of Dallas is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring safety and restoring dignity and hope to abused and neglected children by providing resources and support to the caseworkers of Dallas County Child Protective Services. Through its six programs, Community Partners of Dallas works to fulfill its mission to safeguard abused and neglected children and to help meet their basic needs. One agency program, The Rainbow Room, is an emergency resource center providing critically needed items, such as new clothing, hygiene products and more for these precious children whose lives are in crisis. Sometimes the difference between a child who is safe and one who isn’t safe is a pair of shoes, a winter coat, a car seat and a bed. The Community Partners of Dallas served over 16,000 children in 2007.
