This annual award is in recognition of long-standing dedication to volunteer service benefitting the community of Dallas in the area of civic, cultural, educational, health, welfare, religious or philanthropic endeavors. For eighty-three years, the Dallas Lawyers Auxiliary has been active in its support of public education, citizenship awareness and various service programs. Recognizing the vital role that teachers play in law-related education, the Auxiliary is sponsoring its first "Teacher of the Year" Award. The award honors Dallas County public and private high school teachers who have made significant contributions in the area of law-related education.
